The suspect faces a weapons charge in Massachusetts

The suspect in a triple slaying in Puerto Rico has been captured in Massachusetts.

Authorities say 36-year-old Pedro Torres was apprehended in Fall River on Thursday by local police, with assistance from Massachusetts and Rhode Island state police, and U.S. Marshals.

Police say Torres is wanted in connection with the shooting deaths of three people in August 2014.

Authorities in Rhode Island arrested Torres in July 2015 and extradited him to Puerto Rico. But he made his way back to Rhode Island, where he was spotted just last month.

He faces a weapons charge in Massachusetts. He will be extradited to Rhode Island at some point before being returned to Puerto Rico.

It's not known if he has a lawyer.
