Police Seize More Than $40K in Cash, Drugs From Suspected Dealer

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency seized a large amount of cash and a wide variety of drugs including cocaine, ecstasy, LSD and Ketamine during a drug bust on Friday.

Brandon York, 30, of 8 Rossetti Ave., South Portland, was arrested on a warrant and charged with drug trafficking. During his arrest, he was found in possession of Ketamine, LSD and ecstasy. Agents later searched his home  and found cocaine, ecstasy, packaging material and $5,000 in suspected drug proceeds.

York's arrest was the culmination of a month-long investigation during which agents seized over 150 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of ecstasy, 490 grams of marijuana, 300 grams of Ketamine, 150 doses of LSD and a total of $17,000 in cash. The estimated street value of the drugs is $25,000.

York was transported to the Cumberland County Jail, and was later released on bail.

Officers from the Portland and South Portland police departments assisted agents in the arrest and search warrant.

The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated.
