Teacher Accused of Assault, Resisting Arrest

Police in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, have arrested a Cranston teacher accused of assaulting a woman at a restaurant and resisting arrest.

According to necn affiliate WJAR, Dawn Williams Davies, 43, punched and scratched a woman at Kon Asian Bistro, leaving the victim, a 24-year-old woman, which a fat lip and scratches to her face.

Williams Davies is a health and physical education teacher at Bain Middle School.

Police say Williams Davies was kicking and screaming when they tried to arrest her.

They also say she offered to give an officer oral sex if they let her go.

She is set to be arraigned on May 13. It was not immediately known if she has an attorney.
