Teen Arrested in “Suicide Pact” Investigation

The 15-year-old is charged with making threats and conspiracy

A 15-year-old girl has been arrested in connection with threats of a "suicide pact" and a school shooting on Thursday.

Tewksbury Police said the teen was arrested on Friday, one day after the threat forced schools in Tewksbury and Winthrop, Massachusetts, to shelter in place. She is charged with threats causing a disruption of a school, threats to commit a crime and conspiracy. The threats were reportedly posted on social media.

The teen's identity was not released, as she is a juvenile.

Initial reports were that schools in Woburn and Manchester, New Hampshire might be involved, but no students from those communities were actually part of the pact.
