Teen Boy Hurt After Being Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Fairhaven

A witness at the scene described the vehicle that allegedly struck the teen as an "older model, full-size SUV"

A teenage boy was hospitalized Wednesday morning after police say he was struck by a hit-and-run driver while he was riding his bicycle in Fairhaven, Massachusetts.

When officers arrived at the intersection of Adams and Brown streets around 6:45 a.m., police said the 14-year-old was conscious and alert.

The boy, who was able to speak with officers, was first treated at the scene and then taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, where his exact condition is unknown.

A witness at the scene described the vehicle that allegedly struck the teen as an "older model, full-size SUV." The vehicle was dark in color.
