Teen Indicted in Fire That Killed 2

Dylan Collins has been in custody since his arrest in November

A York County grand jury has indicted a teenager on arson and murder charges in connection with a September fire that killed two people in Biddeford, Maine.

Dylan Collins has been in custody since his arrest in November. The 18-year-old was transferred to a hospital on Nov. 20 with injuries after jumping off the railing of a stairwell at the York County Jail in what officials believe was an attempt to take his own life.

Collins is charged in the Sept. 18 fire in an apartment building in Biddeford. Twenty-three-year-old Michael Moore died of smoke inhalation and Moore's friend, 21-year-old James Ford, died a month later from complications of smoke inhalation.

The Portland Press-Herald reports the grand jury indicted Collins on charges of depraved indifference murder.
