A 14-year-old riding an ATV was shot in the foot in Colchester on Wednesday in what police are calling a hunting-related shooting.
Colchester officers and state troopers responded to the area of Middletown Road and Bigalow Road on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, a 14-year-old boy was riding an ATV in a wooded area when he was shot in the foot. He was taken to a clinic in Marlborough with minor injuries, according to police.
Officers from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection also responded to the scene and are investigating the incident.
Police did not say if they have located the person who fired the weapon.
