Daycare Workers Fired After Boy Allegedly Hung From Doorknob By His Shirt

Police are looking into the KinderCare on Harrington Road in Framingham, Massachusetts

Three employees at a Framingham, Massachusetts, daycare center have been dismissed after a 20-month-old boy was hung by his clothes to a doorknob while others videotaped the incident, police say.

Police are now investigating the KinderCare on Harrington Road.

The incident happened last Friday, though some parents are just learning of it. The company says the incident happened on the playground and that they repored the incident to the state and suspended the staff members responsible.

The company said in a statement:

"Today we have dismissed three employees from our Framingham KinderCare for their involvement in the October 10th incident on the playground.

We are continuing to cooperate with all authorities investigating this matter.

What occurred was completely inappropriate and out of line with the standard of care we provide to families and the children entrusted to our care every day.

As we move forward, we will be doing everything in our power, including retraining all center staff, to ensure that nothing like this occurs again."

Some parents NECN spoke with are still standing by the center.

The Middlesex County District Attorney’s office and the Department of Early Education and Care are also investigating the incident.
