A Vermont judge has ruled that prosecutors may continue pursuing a case against a man accused of killing a 2-year-old boy.
The Burlington Free Press reports Judge James Crucitti denied a request by lawyers for Joshua Blow to dismiss the case for lack of evidence.
Blow, of Shelburne, was accused of second-degree murder following Aiden Haskins' death on July 22. He pleaded not guilty and his lawyers filed a motion to dismiss after another judge said the evidence against Blow is "paper thin."
In his ruling, Crucitti wrote that the state has established Blow "acted in a manner exhibiting a wanton disregard of the likelihood that his behavior may naturally cause death or great bodily harm."
