Highway Reopens After Tractor Trailer Rollover in Wakefield

Interstate 95 in Wakefield, Massachusetts, is back open after a tractor trailer rolled over early Saturday morning.

Massachusetts State Police said the truck carrying fuel rolled over in the area of exit 39 at 12:30 a.m. after losing control on some ice.

Both the northbound and southbound sides of the highway had been closed until about 9:30 a.m. Special foam and dry ice was brought to clean up the spilled fuel. Crews were then able to upright the truck and remove it from the scene.

Police said the crash caused heavy traffic on Walkers Brook Drive and Washington Street to Main Street due to vehicles being diverted.
