Trooper Clardy Honored at Mass. Football Game

Thomas Clardy's wife and his children helped kick off the annual Thanksgiving Day game between Hudson and Marlboro

A special tribute was held in Marlboro, Massachusetts Thanksgiving morning for the state police trooper who died in the line of duty in March.

Thomas Clardy's wife and his children helped kick off the annual Thanksgiving Day game between Hudson and Marlboro.

The 44-year-old trooper and former Marine was from Hudson.

He was killed last winter when a speeding vehicle slammed to the back of his cruiser during a traffic stop on the Massachusetts Turnpike.

His wife said she and her entire family appreciate the Thanksgiving Day tribute and all the support they've received since her husband's death.

She said Thanksgiving was one of his favorite holidays and tried every year to take it off from work.
