Two Teens Charged With Arson Near Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, Water Tower

Maine authorities say they have charged two teenagers with arson after a building burned near the town water tower in Dover-Foxcroft.

The State Fire Marshal's Office says the Saturday afternoon fire took place on water district property and caused $50,000 in damage to a building that contained control panels and gear. Investigators arrested two 16-year-old boys and charged them with arson and burglary on Monday.

State police say the teens were released to their guardians and their first court date has not yet been set. Police are not releasing the names of the teens because of their age.

Local police and fire departments responded to the scene to make sure there was no damage to the water tower. The burned building was destroyed.
