Undercover Heroin Purchases Net 2 Arrests

An undercover drug sting has led to two arrests in Maine.

A New York man and an Oakland woman were detained just before dawn.

Over the past couple of months, Maine Drug Enforcement Agents opened an investigation into persons from New York City selling heroin from the Hill St. apartment in Oakland. Agents conducted several undercover purchases of heroin.

Nearly 100 grams of heroin was seized Thursday morning, in addition to $1,800 in cash and other drug evidence.

Kendell Cagle, 27, of New York and Shayna Shaw-Jenney, 27, of Oakland have both been charged with aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs. Cagle's bail has been set at $25,000 cash and Shaw-Jenney's at $5,000.

Agents say more arrests are likely.
