‘Unruly' Behavior Leads to Arrest of 8 at Revere Beach

A number of people were arrested on Monday evening at a Massachusetts beach following an altercation.

Revere Police were called to the grandstand area of the beach near Eliot Circle and Shirley Avenue just before 8 p.m. for reports of "unruly" behavior.

Local and Massachusetts State Police were able to disperse the crowd, but made 8 arrests in the process. Among those arrested were five adults and three juveniles.

It's still unclear what provoked the altercation.

Those arrested are expected to be arraigned in Chelsea District Court on charges of assault and battery, disorderly conduct, trespassing and resisting arrest.
