Vehicle Strikes Newton Wellesley Hospital

The vehicle struck the outside of the E.R., just before 3 o'clock

A vehicle struck the outside of the E.R. at Newton Wellesley Hospital, Sunday afternoon.

No injuries have been reported to anyone inside the building.

According to police, an 87-year-old woman driving her friend to the hospital was attempting to park when she hit the gas instead of the brake.

The vehicle collided with the pediatric wing of the E.R. 

The two occupants of the vehicle said that they were "shaken up," but sustained no major injuries.

First responders reported damage to the glass windows and doors of the building.

Newton Police and Fire Departments are on the scene. Updates to follow.
