Vermont School Evacuated After Antifreeze Spill

Between 50 and 100 gallons of antifreeze spilled from the boiler in the school's basement

Police say eight children and seven adults were screened by emergency medical services personnel after an antifreeze spill at Vermont's Charlotte Central School, but no one was taken to the hospital.

The spill was reported about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday after between 50 and 100 gallons of antifreeze spilled from the boiler in the school basement.

State police say the school was evacuated and the state hazardous materials team responded.
