Vermont State Police are investigating a reported accidental shooting death in Mount Tabor.
Authorities say Peggy Shores had called 911 Sunday evening to report that her husband had fallen and accidentally shot himself.
When troopers arrived at the scene they found 54-year-old David Shores Sr. dead of an apparent gunshot wound.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
