Vermont to Lower Flags in Honor of Late Governor

Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin is ordering that flags be flown at half-staff in honor of the late Gov. F. Ray Keyser Jr.

Keyser died Saturday at the age of 88.

Keyser served as governor from 1961-1963, after being elected at the age of 34.

He also served as Speaker of the Vermont House.

The flag tribute begins at sunrise Monday and will continue until sunset on March 16.
