The Middlesex District Attorney's office released video recordings and 911 call and radio transmissions from an officer-involved shooting that occurred in Everett, Massachusetts, on April 21, 2016.

Mario Mejia Martinez, age 48, of Everett, was fatally shot by Everett Police after officers responded to a call for a report of a man harassing pedestrians in front of 432 Broadway Street in Everett.

The videos include footage from two private security cameras and three City of Everett cameras. Footage shows the man, armed with a knife, appearing to lunge at an Everett Police officer.

The videos were taken in the area of 432 Broadway Street in Everett around 4:33 p.m.

The district attorney's office also released photos taken from one of the videos as well as a photo of the knife that Martinez was holding during the incident.

The 911 call came from a woman who said she felt threatened by a man on Broadway Street.

"He has a knife sticking out of his pocket and he's like talking to himself. He seems like I dunno, he's angry."

The officer arrived and attempted to talk to Martinez. The officer backed away and warned Martinez to drop his knife, which was heard on radio transmissions, before Martinez approached the officer.

Martinez had a wife and 8 children.
