With heavy hearts, hundreds of people gathered Monday night at City Hall Plaza in Boston to mourn the staggering loss of life in the Orlando attack. Many carried rainbow-colored flags and signs calling for peace. At times they held and comforted each other. Speakers addressed the crowd in both English and Spanish.

Angie Cotterman, who attended the vigil, said, "I've been in tears since the news came across the country."

Deana Vraganca said, "I wanted to show solidarity. I was devastated yesterday by what happened so I just wanted to show my support."
