The director of the election commission says they spent roughly $30,000 to send the postcards to registered voters in Cambridge.

The postmaster in Cambridge is investigating how a stack of informational mailers intended for registered voters ended up in the garbage of an apartment complex.

The letters had important information informing voters when and where to vote.

A statement released by the US Postal Service states, “These actions – which are now under investigation – are not consistent with and do not represent the values of the Postal Service organization and will not be tolerated.”
