5 Arrested in Drug, Firearms Raid in Walpole, Mass.

Authorities in Massachusetts have arrested five men after a raid resulted in the discovery of drugs, including fentanyl, and firearms.

Police in Walpole said the "no-knock" search warrant was executed at 5 a.m. Thursday at a home on Norfolk Street.

The following were arrested on multiple drug charges: Francis Keegan, 52, of Walpole; Christopher Punis, 48, of Walpole; Nicholas Bonfilio, 36, of Walpole; Randolph Beardsley, 54, of Milton; David Curran, 64, of Walpole.

In court on Thursday, the five were given bonds ranging from $500 to $2,500 based on the charges. It's unclear if they have attorneys.

Investigators say they seized a significant amount of fentanyl pills, along with other opioids, four long guns and ammunition, in the bust.

Walpole's police chief said the investigation started a few weeks ago after officers started seeing a spike in overdoses, including two deadly ones, in the area. The NORPAC drug task force was called in to assist, leading law enforcement to the Norfolk Street house.
