Wandering Moose Resurfaces in Lexington, Massachusetts

Environmental police are "actively pursuing" the animal

The moose that has been wandering through several Massachusetts towns this week was spotted again on Friday.

Massachusetts Environmental Police are "actively pursuing the moose," said Peter Lorenz, a spokesman for the state Executive Office of Energy and Environemntal Affairs.

The animal was last seen on Friday morning on Robin Hill Road in Lexington, and five environmental police officers are currently working to locate it.

The young female moose was first spotted in Watertown and Belmont on Wednesday, running down sidewalks and trotting through residential areas. There was another sighting in Belmont on Thursday morning.

Officers are asking anyone who gets a good look at the moose and where it's heading to call 911.
