U.S. Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Edward Markey are reconvening an advisory committee to consider applications for a federal judicial vacancy in Boston.
Candidates interested in applying for the U.S. District Court nomination must submit their applications to the committee by Feb. 23.
The committee was first appointed in March 2013 and is charged with soliciting, interviewing and commenting on applications for federal district court vacancies in Massachusetts.
Former District Court Judge Nancy Gertner heads up the committee, which is also made up of members of the Massachusetts legal community, including academics and attorneys.
It's up to the two Democratic senators to recommend nominees for the federal bench to President Barack Obama.
Copies of the application form can be found online.
