A Massachusetts woman is facing charges after allegedly stabbing a pizza shop employee in the back with an ice pick in Billerica.

Barbara Tucker, 57, of Billerica was charged with attempted murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Billerica police say the attack happened Wednesday afternoon at the Devito Brothers Pizza on Boston Road.

Officers arrived at the scene, where the victim told officers that he was attacked by a woman he knew, and then barricaded himself in the bathroom to keep her from injuring him further.

Tucker had already fled the scene, and was eventually found with the assistance of K-9s in a wooded area along the Concord River, according to police.

Police say that while there were customers inside the restaurant, no one else was hurt.

Tucker is due in Lowell District Court.

It's unclear if she has an attorney.
