Woman Arrested for OUI With 2 Kids in Car

Lorene Kush, 45, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of two children.

A Merrimack, New Hampshire, woman is facing multiple charges after she was arrested on Sunday for operating a vehicle under the influence with two children onboard.

Lorene Kush, 45, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of two children.

Witnesses phoned police after Kush nearly struck another car head-on while traveling on Joppa Road. Police say the caller alerted them to Kush's exact location.

Officers later stopped Kush's vehicle on the Daniel Webster Highway. While speaking with Kush, officers observed signs of impairment and arrested Kush for OUIL. In her vehicle were two children, ages five and seven.

Kush was transported to the Merrimack Police Department. She was later released on $2,500 bail.

She is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court, Merrimack Division on September 22, 2015.
