Woman Charged With Intentionally Driving Into Cop on Motorcycle

Raynham, Massachusetts, Police confirm a woman is facing charges after she intentionally drove her car into a police officer on a motorcycle.

Ann Marie Andrade, 46, allegedly refused to stop her vehicle when an officer caught her speeding around 4:20 p.m. on South Main Street. During the pursuit, she briefly stopped, put the car in reverse, and slammed into the officer on the motorcycle behind her.

Patrolman Anthony Barbour was transported to Morton Hospital. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and has since been treated and released.

Andrade is charged with assault to murder and assault, battery with a dangerous weapon, driving with a license previously revoked for being a habitual offender, speeding, failing to stop for police, driving an unregistered vehicle, and leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury resulting. She'll be arraigned in Taunton District Court on Tuesday.
