Woman Critical After Being Run Over, Pinned by Bus

Police have identified the woman as 32-year-old Bobbie Moore

A Rhode Island woman is in critical condition but stable condition after she was run over and pinned by a RIPTA bus Wednesday afternoon.

Necn affiliate WJAR reports the incident happened on Broad Street in Providence.

Police have identified the woman as 32-year-old Bobbie Moore of Coventry.

Witnesses say she was trying to get on the bus as it was pulling away.

The woman was stuck underneath the bus for at least 20 minutes while crews used giant inflatable airbags to lift the bus off the ground.

The RIPTA bus driver, whose name has not yet been released, is on administrative leave pending an investigation.

No charges have been filed.
