A woman was hit by a duck boat while crossing the street Sunday, the Boston Police Department confirms.
The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. at Newbury and Clarendon Streets. Police say the woman was crossing contrary to the walk signal as the duck boat was making a left turn from Newbury Street.
The woman fell after coming in contact with the vehicle. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Boston Duck Tours released a statement on the incident later in the day:
"We are grateful to learn from police that no one was seriously injured in today's incident. We defer to the Boston Police Department on what happened here but have learned that an eyewitness at the scene reports that our vehicle had the right of way and the pedestrian crossed against the signal."
