A woman who was seriously injured in a boating accident in New Hampshire this past weekend died Thursday evening, according to New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol.

An autopsy on the victim, 29-year-old Meghan Rodriguez of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, has been scheduled while the incident remains under investigation by the Marine Patrol Bureau.

The accident occurred on Lake Monomonac in Rindge around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 11.

Rodriguez was a passenger on a 2016 Kawasaki personal watercraft. One of the two other passengers aboard the boat, Joseph Ocasio of Winchendon, Massachusetts, was operating the vehicle.

On return from their tubing outing, Rodriguez, who was riding on a Jet Ski attached to the boat, fell from the boat and became entangled in tube’s towline. Rodriguez was found floating in the lake unconscious.

Authorities were notified of the accident around 5:30 p.m. shortly after the incident occurred. Rodriguez was administered CPR and transported to a local hospital.

She was later airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medial where she was placed into the intensive care unit and died a few days later.
