Woman Killed in Fuel Truck Crash ID'd

Police said Tacy Taylor was traveling east on Farmington Falls Road Tuesday night when her minivan crossed the lane into opposing traffic and was struck head-on by a fuel truck

Police have identified a 59-year-old woman who was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Farmington, Maine.

Police said Tacy Taylor was traveling east on Farmington Falls Road Tuesday night when her minivan crossed the lane into opposing traffic and was struck head-on by a fuel truck. The two occupants in the truck were not seriously injured.

A spokesman with the state Department of Environmental Protection tells The Kennebec Journal that about 350 to 400 gallons of fuel and kerosene spilled onto the road. He says all of the oil absorbed into the soil off the road, but it hasn't impacted a tributary stream near where the oil spilled.

Crews will be working with the state Department of Transportation to remove the impacted soil over the next few days.
