Police say a 28-year-old New Hampshire woman is recovering after she was accidentally shot while ordering food at a McDonald's drive-thru.
Concord Police said they responded to the McDonald's on Fisherville Road around 11:45 a.m. Saturday for a report of a person who had been shot. The 28-year-old woman had been in the driver's seat of a vehicle when she was hit.
Police arrived at the scene and found a 29-year-old man in the passenger seat attempting to help the woman.
The woman was taken by the Concord Fire Department to Concord Hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that that the gunshot wound was not self inflected.
Authorities say they're investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting, but that it was not self-inflicted or intentional.
Authorities say the gun was legally owned.
