A woman was killed Monday morning after she was struck by a vehicle in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Police said the woman was walking in the parking lot of the Murkland School on Adams Street at 11:25 a.m. when she was struck by a pickup truck.
Investigators believe the driver had just arrived to work and was backing up into a parking space when the woman was struck.
Police identified the victim as 70-year-old Claudia Normandin. The driver has not yet been identified.
It's unclear if any charges will be filed against the driver. The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office is investigating the case.
