Authorities have arrested a man for the murder of a woman found Sunday in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
Twenty-seven-year-old John Devine was charged with the murder of 51-year-old Tanya Nichols, who was found dead earlier in the day on Sparhawk Terrace, the Essex County District Attorney's Office confirms.
Police were searching for a vehicle in connection to the case. That vehicle was found in Lynn around 3 p.m.
About 15 minutes later, Devine entered the vehicle. Marblehead Police questioned him. Lynn Police told NECN at 5:30 p.m. that he was not arrested and was not in custody at that time, but officials with the District Attorney's Office later confirmed his arrest.
Devine was held without bail after his arraignment Monday morning in Lynn District Court.
