Authorities are searching the property behind an Eastport, Maine house Thursday as they investigate a case of a missing person who was last heard from by family a decade ago.

According to state police, state and Eastport Police will search the property behind a house on Clark Street where Marilyn Lehan lived 10 years ago with her husband Brian from 2002 to 2004.

Family members told Maine State Police she may have moved away in 2004 and had not heard from her since. State police say the house is now owned by another family.

State police say dog teams surveyed the property on Wednesday.

The home on Clark Street was foreclosed on after Lehan's disappearance and her husband has since relocated to California, state police say, and that her family's repeated tries to find her have been unsuccessful.

Family members reportedly told state police it was not uncommon for there to be long periods of time without word from her, authorities say.

Marilyn Lehan was officially reported missing to Eastport Police last summer, who investigated through the summer and asked for state police's help in the fall, according to state police.

Police say Lehan is 59 years old, 5'9" with brown hair and brown eyes, and anyone with information is asked to contact Maine State Police at 1-800-432-7381, or Eastport Police.
