Behind Celina's Family Life

(NECN: Lauren Collins, Stewartstown, NH) - “They said any tip.  You know the officers want any tip so that was, that was the tip I had.”

The tip Norma Richardson had came from a psychic who’d helped people find things in the past.  She doesn’t put much stock in psychics, but says the woman described an area where she thought Celina Cass might be found.

“She described the water and she described something gray that kind of looked broken up.  And when you look at the area you do see a grey background, like a wall, a retaining wall.”

Richardson’s nephew is Wendell Noyes – Celina’s step dad.  Authorities confirm they did receive a tip from a psychic, but that it didn’t prove to be helpful.  Celina’s body was pulled from the Connecticut River near the dam Monday.

The investigation into her disappearance and death is now a criminal probe.   Noyes has been quietly suggested as someone who may know what happened, an accusation his family vehemently rejects

A look into his past shows he’s struggled with mental illness – involuntarily committed in 2003 for treatment of paranoid schizophrenia after he threatened an ex-girlfriend.  He married Celina’s mother last fall.

“You know, they’re kinda feeling their way around,” says Melissa Jordan of the couple who, with their friends, would sometimes sit on the porch and drink and occasionally get a little loud, but nothing out of the ordinary and nothing that ever made her feel unsafe.  She lived in the other apartment in their downtown house until three weeks ago

“I feel that we moved too soon,” says Jordan.  “You know, maybe if we had waited we could have been there.  We’re always up late.  We could have heard something, seen something.”
