Massachusetts Legislators Debate ”Right to Die”

(NECN: Jennifer Eagan - Boston, MA) - Massachusetts legislators take up controversial ''Right to Die'' legislation Tuesday.

If it becomes law, Massachusetts would be just the fourth state to allow terminally ill patients to take their own lives.

Advocates say the bill would allow people to die with dignity.

But one of the lawmakers who will chair Tuesday's hearing says he's worried about allowing medically assisted suicides.

NECN reporter Jennifer Eagan is at the statehouse with more.
