Police: Doctor Charged With Killing Yale Doctor Says Sorry

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Police say an unemployed Georgia doctor
charged with fatally shooting a Yale University physician
acknowledged he was at the crime scene at the time of the shooting
and said he was sorry for what happened.

Branford police released a report Friday by an officer who
interviewed 44-year-old Lishan Wang, who is accused of killing
Vajinder Toor Monday outside Toor's home.

Police say Wang told them he had been accused of threatening
Toor and poking him in the eye when they worked together at a New
York hospital.

Police said Wang told them he was at Toor's house briefly.
Police said when Wang was asked where Toor was when he was shot,
Wang told them the victim was not far away from his car.

Wang's lawyer did not immediately return a message for comment.
