United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon says allegations of chemical weapon use in Syria need to be investigated immediately

(NECN) – United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon says allegations of chemical weapon use in Syria need to be investigated immediately.

He says use of the weapons violates international law and is a crime against humanity.

The US, Britain and France have demanded that a team of UN experts already in Syria be granted access to the site.

The Syrian government has denied the use of chemical weapons and it remains unclear if any chemical weapons were used.

Opposition groups say over 100 people, including children, were killed in the attacks.
