Former U.S. Senator Scott Brown says he was a driving force behind mobilizing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's ground game in New Hampshire.
Brown spoke with the Boston Herald Radio and said he wanted to help Trump, a first-time runner.
Brown recently endorsed Trump, who took a first place finish in the Republican New Hampshire primary Tuesday.
Stung by his second-place showing in Iowa last week, Trump had been determined to make New Hampshire his proving ground for a campaign that has defied convention wisdom from the start. Early exit polls showed he drew support from voters looking for an outsider and from those who made up their minds a while ago.
