Donald Trump Cancels Portland, Maine Rally

Presidential candidate Donald Trump is canceling an appearance he had scheduled for Portland, Maine.

The Republican nominee was slated to appear in the politically liberal city on Thursday. The Portland Press Herald (http://bit.ly/2dq7RUk ) reports the appearance is cancelled due to a campaign routing issue.

A spokeswoman for the city says the campaign notified Portland that it is canceling. The campaign is looking to reschedule, but has not set a date.

Trump has appeared in Portland twice this year and also came to Bangor once.

Maine is one of two states that portions out electoral votes by Congressional district. Trump has a chance to win the 2nd Congressional District, which is more conservative.

Portland is in the 1st Congressional District, which is situated in southern and coastal parts of the state.
