Donald Trump Says he May Make Robocalls for Scott Brown

He also said Brown is scheduled to visit him in New York soon

Donald Trump reportedly told "Fox and Friends" on Monday that he may make robocalls to help Republican Scott Brown get elected to the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire.

"I have a lot of people that want to run for office or who are running for office ... and it's not even the money that they want, they want robocalls," Trump told the Fox News show, according to Politico. He also said he expects Brown to visit him in New York soon.

Trump was in New Hampshire earlier this year, and is scheduled to return to the state in November to speak at the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications' 12th annual First Amendment Awards.

A recent CNN poll showed that the U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire appears to be tightening up, with Brown locked in a tie with incumbent Democrat Jeanne Shaheen.

The Shaheen campaign released the following statement about Trump's comments:

"In the month of September alone, Scott Brown has lined up Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and now Donald Trump to help get him back to the Senate forecasting exactly what kind of Senator he will be. This is another example of why Scott Brown is wrong for New Hampshire."

The Brown campaign did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
