First Lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to campaign for Democratic Massachusetts gubernatorial candidate Martha Coakley in Boston on Friday.
Obama will join Coakley for a campaign rally at the Strand Theatre in Dorchester's Upham Corner neighborhood on Friday at 11:30 a.m.
"I am honored to have the support of the First Lady, a leader in creating economic and social justice," Coakley said in a statement. "I look forward to joining the First Lady and thousands of our grassroots supporters in Uphams Corner, to discuss how we will turn our economy around for all of our families."
The event will be open to the public, however, tickets will be required and available through the campaign.
