Man Featured on ‘Extreme Cougar Wives' Reality Show Charged With Assaulting Wife

Ian Hickok is facing two second-degree assault charges

A man who appeared on the TLC reality show "Extreme Cougar Wives" has been charged with assaulting his wife.

Seacoastonline.com reports that 25-year-old Ian Hickok of Hampton, New Hampshire, is facing two second-degree assault charges for allegedly strangling, punching and attempting to suffocate his wife at their condominium on Dec. 5. The news site said she was hospitalized for at least four days as a result of the assault.

The assault reportedly occurred after Hickok served his wife with divorce papers.

Hickok appeared in court Tuesday and is expected to be indicted in Superior Court. He has been arrested in the past on charges ranging from domestic assault to forgery to various motor vehicle violations.

"Extreme Cougar Wives" details the romantic lives of self-described "cougars" - older women who date much younger men. Hickok and his wife appeared on the show in 2013.
