Many New Hampshire Voters Still Undecided Ahead of Election

Some voters say they'll wait until last minute to make their decision

    (Published Monday, Nov. 7, 2016)

With just hours to go before the polls open, many voters in New Hampshire say they are still undecided on who they want the next president to be.

Some say they might not even make up their minds until the last possible minute.

"I'm struggling — they are both awful," said Josh Brown, of Manchester. "I will probably make the decision in the booth, close my eyes, grit my teeth and say, 'I can't believe I'm doing this,' but do it anyway."

Voters say indecision has little to do with a lack of information.

Originally, Michaela Remis, of Manchester, planned to vote for Green Party candidate Jill Stein but now she's leaning toward Clinton.

"I don't want to be involved with voting for either of them," Remis said. "Every day I think I know what I'm going to do, like 'Oh I'm going to protest vote' but then it's like 'oh yikes, I don't know.'"

Don Gonzalez, of Pittsfield isn't necessarily undecided. He says he has consciously decided NOT to decide.

"I've been thinking about this for a while. I can't vote for either one of them they are both crooks and liars," Gonzalez said.

It's not just the presidential election voters in New Hampshsire are struggling with. Some residents say they will also wait until Election Day to decide on other races as well.
