Massachusetts' Primary Election Eve Preview

Mara Dolan and Jennifer Nassour weigh in on the candidates' final push for votes

It's primary election night eve, and Broadside host Jim Braude is gearing up for the showdown at the polls between statewide candidates in Massachusetts.

If Attorney General Martha Coakley wins, is she still damaged from her ill-fated 2010 Senate run?

Mara Dolan says if Coakley wins Tuesday, the Democratic party - including her primary opponents - will rally behind her.

"I don't think she has to be worried about being damaged goods as a result of the primary," the Massachusetts Democratic party's state committee member said.

Do the Republicans have a preference who they run against in the general election? Jennifer Nassour doesn't think so.

"Because at the the end of the day, I think Massachusetts is ready for a change in the right direction. I think after eight years of Deval Patrick and seeing how disinterested he has been in the Commonwealth, and just feeling that, whether it's Coakley or Grossman, both of them have been basically in the same administration as Patrick," the former chair of the Massachusetts Republican party said.
