Should U.S. Respond to Taliban Attack on Pakistani School?

U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch joins Jim Braude on Broadside to discuss the attack, as well as the discussions on torture and the budget showdown.

Funerals are being held in dozens of locations in Pakistan while the nation mourns the death of 121 students and three staff members at a school run by the military.

Democratic U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch, who has made many trips to places like Pakistan and Afghanistan, joins Jim Braude to discuss how the U.S. should respond to the Taliban attack.

"This is a tremendous blow," said Lynch. "This is really the Pakistani Taliban we're talking about here - the Afghan Taliban, ironically, have condemned this attack."

Lynch added that such response from the Afghan Taliban speaks volumes about the heinousness.

"Pakistan's going to need some help, and I think they're finally do the right thing in that area," said Lynch. "We should stand with them on this."
