(NECN) - Jill Stein, the newly nominated Green Party presidential pick, made her pitch on Broadside to American fed up with the politics of President Barack Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney.
The Lexington, Mass. physician, who previously for governor of the Bay State, has been campaigning to be the Green Party's nominee since October 2011.
Stein explains her decision to take on the Green Party nomination.
“As a mother, as a medical doctor, I’m extremely concerned about the direction that we’ve been heading under both Democrats and Republicans for quite some time when the president put Medicare and social security on the chopping block a year ago as part of how he proposed to solve the debt ceiling crisis,” said Stein.
Stein also says the metaphorical American ship is going down, and will continue to do so under the direction of either Obama or Romney.
In addition, Stein discusses what advantages the Green Party has when it comes to the presidential campaign.
