Wizards Ride 26-0 Run to Game 4 Win Over Celtics

For once, the Boston Celtics didn't spot the Washington Wizards a big lead to start the game. Unfortunately, they gave up a 26-0 run in the third quarter, allowing the Wizards to put Game 4 away early.

The teams were actually tied 48-48 at halftime of Sunday's game before the Wizards blew things wide open, fueled by a bevy of Boston turnovers. The final score was 121-102.

"We're capable of those type of runs every game," said Markieff Morris, who finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Wizards. "Keep pressing them, go up 50 if we can. That's the mindset I felt like all of us had."

Coach Scott Brooks called it the Wizards' best stretch this season, crediting defense for making it all happen.

"It is our defense," said Wizards guard Bradley Beal. "That's why we're able to get out in transition and get open shots, get open layups. We were just having fun."

The second round playoff series is now tied at 2-2. The winner will face the Cleveland Cavaliers, who finished off their sweep of the Toronto Raptors earlier on Sunday.

Beal led the way for Washington with 29 points, but he had a lot of help from John Wall, who added 27.

For the Celtics, Isaiah Thomas scored 19 to lead the team, followed by Terry Rozier with 16.

The two teams play Game 5 on Wednesday night at 8 in Boston.
