Brady Named AFC Offensive Player of the Week

As the NFL continues to whine and push for Tom Brady to be suspended for four games, it recognized him for his performance against the Miami Dolphins last Thursday.

The Patriots quarterback was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 8.

Brady went 26-38 to throw for 356 yards, four touchdowns and no picks against Miami.

While the honor was solely for his game against the Pats' southernmost division rivals, it is certainly more impressive considering he had a very similar line against the Jets just four days earlier. In that game, Brady threw for 355 yards and two touchdowns - a grand total of 711 yards in less than 100 hours.

New England will look to remain undefeated Sunday when the Patriots take on the Washington Redskins Sunday.
